About me

I’m Soraya Safi, a general dentist and proud to be known as "The Forever Associate Dentist." Even before I earned my degree, back when I was just an undergrad student, I knew dentistry was my calling. One of the key reasons I chose this path was the incredible flexibility it offered. Dentistry provides the unique opportunity to craft a career that fits your life—whether that means working a few days a week, going full-time, balancing multiple practices, joining a corporate team, or even owning your own practice. The possibilities are endless.

 

After much consideration, I chose to remain an associate dentist, a decision shaped by many factors. For years, I wrestled with the choice between ownership and continuing as an associate. The allure of being my own boss was strong, but so was the appeal of avoiding the burdens of running a business, especially with a growing family. This internal debate is something many dentists grapple with today.

 

Starting out as an associate can be a lonely, isolating experience—but it doesn’t have to be. I’ve observed that while there are plenty of resources and courses tailored for practice owners, there’s far less support for those of us who are associates.
